Glass doors – What are the benefits of laminated safety glass?
Laminated safety glass (VSG) offers additional soundproofing and even more security when a glass door is installed in front of a staircase. Laminated safety glass consists of two individual panes of safety glass that are joined with a tear-proof film. Should a glass door shatter, the entire glass surface remains stuck to the special film in small pieces. Such breaking behaviour is known from wind screens on cars.
