Glass is a sustainable material that is 100% recyclable and can be reused an infinite number of times without any loss of quality. In addition, glass is made almost exclusively from natural raw materials that are abundant in nature. Our processing materials, such as our SpriColor paint, are also 100% solvent-free, recyclable and free from heavy metals and additives that require labeling. In this way, we combine environmental awareness with timelessness, modernity and quality. Look to the future with us!
History of the glass manufacturer Joh. SPRINZ GmbH & Co. KG
THE BEGINNINGS
March 12, 1886 is the founding date of today's Joh. Sprinz GmbH & Co. KG and laid the foundation for the traditional, medium-sized and owner-managed family business. From then on, the former colonial goods trader developed from a glass wholesaler into a full-service provider for all aspects of glass.
WE HIT THE ROAD
With its first truck, an Opel-Blitz, Johann SPRINZ was already delivering 1.5 tons of glass per day in 1948. Today, around 110 tons of raw glass are processed into shower enclosures, glass doors, partition wall systems, exterior facades and other high-quality special glass products every day. This makes SPRINZ one of the leading glass processors in Germany. Now in its fourth generation, the family business works and lives with glass, combining experience with innovation and high-tech with craftsmanship.
Since 2008, the group of companies has also been supplying the highest quality raw glass with the Euroglas glassworks near Magdeburg. From the raw materials to the initial idea through to development and production, everything comes from a single source and is Made in Germany.
SPRINZ TODAY
Today, SPRINZ employs around 380 people in the factories at its headquarters in Grünkraut near Ravensburg. In the areas of sanitary equipment, building element trade, interior and exterior architecture, building glass/insulating glass, kitchen world made of glass and the glass world exhibition, Made in Germany is lived from the idea through development to production. This guarantees customers consistently high quality and flexibility, unmistakable and innovative products, beautiful design, inspiring solutions, precise workmanship, custom-made special solutions and fast, reliable service.
Firmly rooted in the region, the company sells its branded products throughout Germany via qualified specialist retailers. At the same time, the medium-sized company has an international focus.
SPRINZ has made a special name for itself with the Glaswelt exhibition. It is itself a living example of glass applications and at the same time a center for innovations and seminars.

Facts and figures
THE MOST VERSATILE SUPPLIER ON THE MARKET
SPRINZ manufactures toughened safety glass, laminated safety glass and insulating glass and finishes this glass with motifs, decors or anti-slip and water-repellent surfaces. One specialty is high-quality ceramic screen printing on glass, which is used to create elaborate colors and motifs. SPRINZ is the only supplier of ceramic screen printing on glass in four-color set and photo quality in Germany.
The glass products are used in interior and exterior architecture. For example, SPRINZ offers an extensive range of products for the sanitary sector, including real glass showers, mirrors, bathroom furniture and partition wall systems.
The focus is on frameless real glass showers with flush-mounted fittings. SPRINZ added flush fittings for shower enclosures to its range back in 1997. This fitting technology, which guarantees quick and easy cleaning, has become the standard in recent years.
LIFE WITH GLASS
In addition to the focus on the sanitary sector, the portfolio includes other glass products from all areas of life - this is also underlined by the company's claim "Living with glass". Glass doors and matching systems for sliding doors, kitchen splashbacks and worktops as well as all-glass systems for private and public areas, glass staircases, facades and privacy screens made of glass - everything is possible with us.
EXCELLENT PRODUCTS
Design and innovation characterize all our glass products. The iF Design Award, the Plus X Award, the Design Plus Prize and the nomination for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany are awards that SPRINZ has received in recent years.
